Yi Ding Yuan, TCM.D, Ac. L.M.T, M.Sc.


 

As the director of the clinic, Yi Ding (Thomas) Yuan holds a medical degree of Traditional Chinese Medicine from the Shanghai University of Traditional Chinese Medicine (China). Since 1987, he has practiced acupuncture, Chinese manipulation and  traditional Chinese medicine in Shanghai No.1 People's Hospital (Shanghai, China).  He was a registered medical doctor in Shanghai, a member of Shanghai Board of Acupuncture And Moxibustion, a member of China Society of Acupuncture And Moxibustion, and a member of China Red Cross.  After moving to Montreal in 1997, he started to treat Canadian patients with his 

expertise in acupuncture, Chinese herbal medicine and manipulation in the Montreal clinic. He also holds a Master's degree from Department of Physiology of the University of Montreal. It was in University of Montreal that he received further training in medical research of neuroscience, and published some research results in British Journal of Pharmacology.  His patients will certainly profit from his sound professional and research background. Currently he is a registered acupuncturist in the Province of Quebec, doctor of Traditional Chinese Medicine and Naturopath certified by Corporation des Praticiens en Medecine Douce de Quebec, a registered massage therapist from Association of Professional Massotherapist of Quebec.

Over the past 10 years of practicing acupuncture in Quebec, Yi Ding has been seeking effective solutions for most of common "North American illness" such as allergy, sinus infection, overweight and depression besides pain management and internal medical problems.  He combines ancient Chinese wisdom with modern science, and creates a unique therapeutic system which is consisted of ancient Nei Jing  theory, Shang Han theory, Five elements, meridian theory and modern medical theory.  Multiple Chinese therapies are frequently included in his treatment plan in order to obtain fast and effective results for his patients.
